Pack 2113 is part of Twin Rivers Council, our local Scouting America council. The Council supports Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, and other Scouting programs throughout our region by providing programs, events, camps, training, resources, and support for local units and their leaders.
While Pack 2113 plans many of our own meetings and adventures, families will also see opportunities to participate in Council-wide events throughout the year. These give our Scouts a chance to try activities beyond what we can offer as an individual Pack and meet Scouts from other communities across the area.
Camping is a big part of the Cub Scout experience! Each summer, Pack 2113 attends Cub Scout Resident Camp at Rotary Scout Reservation, and throughout the year we often participate in events and camporees at Camp Wakpominee and occasionally Camp Tri-Mount—all Twin Rivers Council properties.
But our adventures aren’t limited to Scout camps! We sometimes spend the night in some pretty unusual places, too—including camping overnight at the drive-in movie theater! Wherever we set up camp, overnight adventures give Scouts a chance to try new things, spend time outdoors, build independence, and make some pretty great memories with their Pack.
Scouting America requires an Annual Health and Medical Record for each Scout every year.
All Scouts need Parts A, B1, and B2 on file.
Part C is required for events lasting 72 consecutive hours or more and must be completed and signed by a healthcare provider following a physical exam.
Even though Part C is only required for longer events, we encourage families to have it completed every year so it’s already on file if your Scout decides to attend summer camp or another extended Scouting adventure.
Our tip: Bring the Scouting health forms with you to your child’s annual physical! Your pediatrician can complete Part C at the same visit when they complete the required New York State school health form—saving you from having to make a separate trip later.
Need uniforms, handbooks, Pinewood Derby supplies, or other Scouting gear? You can order online from the official Scout Shop or visit our local Scout Shop in Albany. If you’re making the trip to Albany, we recommend checking the current hours and calling ahead to make sure the shop is open before you go.
