Cub Scouts work on age-appropriate Adventures designed for their grade and rank. By completing a variety of required and elective Adventures, Scouts build the skills and experiences needed to earn their rank badge while developing character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness along the way.
To earn their rank each year, Cub Scouts complete six required Adventures along with two elective Adventures of their choice. With plenty of electives to choose from, Scouts can explore activities and skills that match their own interests while working toward their next rank.
Many Adventure requirements are completed together during Den and Pack meetings, giving Scouts the chance to learn, practice new skills, and have fun with their friends. Some requirements are designed to be completed at home with a parent or adult partner, allowing families to be part of the Scouting experience, too.
